What an outstanding pen holder this is. It has a retro, yet futuristic look and a smooth but weighty feel. This pen stand was designed by Walter Zeischegg. Click for a brief biography of Walter Zeischegg. I like the clean, simple lines, teardrop shape, and perfect balance and symmetry. At a length of 9 cm at its longest, the pen holder comfortably fits in the palm of your hand.
It is made from solid melamine, so it is actually quite heavy. As a counterweight, the holder provides a more than sturdy base for any pen. Even a narrow (not full size) Sharpie marker fits without any problem.
I have only seen the 83697 pen holder in red. Rare, but not particularly expensive, and I guarantee you it will look great on your desk. Have you seen this object in a different color? Please comment below!
