Here are two peaches by Will Hardy for Wilardy. They have a smooth surface like the apple, not faceted like the lemon or orange. The peaches are particularly life-like. Brief peach anatomy lesson: the “ridge” that goes from stem to tip is called the suture. These peaches feature the suture and it makes them striking examples. Both peaches are signed “Will Hardy”, one in an arc around a small indentation that has been cut into the bottom of the peach, the other along the suture. The two peaches are almost the same size, at 2-3/4” length and 2-1/4” across at their widest points. The peach that is larger has a more pronounced suture.
A U.S. quarter is approximately 1” in diameter and is shown for scale.
