Write a guest post for OBJECT <> PLASTIC

Do you like modern plastic design? Vintage plastic design?  Would you like to share what you know or what lurks in your collection?  Consider writing a guest post!  I am happy that you are checking out the guidelines, and look forward to hearing from you.

When I started OBJECT <> PLASTIC in 2009, I did so with the intent of learning more about my favorite plastic designs.  Now, I want to learn from you, and my readers do too!  I offer you the opportunity to write a guest post about a piece of plastic design that inspires you.

I will check and respond to all guest post submissions twice a month, so it might take up to two weeks to get back to you.

  • Submission does not guarantee publication.
  • Take some time to read some recent posts to get a feel for the site.  This should also help you develop a title for your post.
  • To avoid "duplicate content" issues, posts should be original and not appear elsewhere on the web. You may republish extracts.
  • The length of your post is flexible depending on content.  It should be as long as it needs to be to tell the story you want to tell.
  • Internal linking is fine if necessary.  Link out to the internet if necessary.  You may link to your own content if the link is relevant to your post.  Please keep it to no more than three links, though.  No affiliate links.
  • Take and/or provide high quality, properly attributed photographs.
  • Proofread to ensure your post is free of spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Please do not be offended if changes to your post are suggested.
  • Credit all sources and put them at the end of your post under "References."  Use citationmachine.net to generate quick citations.
  • Monetary compensation for guest posts is not offered at this time.
Byline/Author credit
  • Add a credit to the beginning of your post which reads as follows.  You can link from your name.
Editor's note:  Guest post by Your Name.
  • Include a small paragraph at the end of your post and before any references crediting yourself as the author.  Make it interesting and include links to your site(s).
If you would like to submit your guest post for review, please email it to objectplastic (at) gmail.com with “Guest Post Submission” in the subject line. Please include the following in your email:
  1. Your name.
  2. Your URL (if applicable).
  3. Your post title.
  4. The body of your post.
  5. Attach any images you would like to include (not required).
